Student Data Privacy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Bounce Hype is a "school official" service used by the school to run its own fundraiser. We act on the school's instructions and we never use student information for advertising, AI training, profiling, or any purpose outside the fundraiser the school has booked.
What we collect from students
The school provides only the minimum needed to set up per-student donation pages:
- First name and last initial
- Grade level
- Teacher / classroom name
We do not collect: home address, phone number, date of birth, Social Security number, IEP / 504 information, grades, health records, or photos. Photos are never auto-uploaded; only the school admin can add one, and only with parental permission on file.
Children under 13 (COPPA)
Students never create accounts on Bounce Hype. Under COPPA's school-authorization model, the school authorizes Bounce Hype to receive the limited roster information above for the educational/operational purpose of running the fundraiser. Schools should follow their own COPPA notice and consent procedures with parents.
FERPA
The information shared is limited to directory-style fields a school typically discloses for school activities. Bounce Hype qualifies as a "school official" with a legitimate educational interest, operates under the school's direct control, and is contractually prohibited from re-disclosing the information.
Where data lives & who can see it
Roster data is stored in encrypted databases hosted in the United States. Access is restricted to: (1) the school admins who manage that school's fundraiser and (2) named Bounce Hype staff who operate the platform. Donors only see first name + last initial on a student page.
How long we keep it
- During the fundraiser: roster is active.
- After the fundraiser ends: roster is archived and hidden from public pages within 30 days.
- 12 months after the event: roster is automatically deleted unless the school books a new fundraiser.
- On request: the school admin or a parent can request earlier deletion at any time (see below).
Parent rights
Parents and guardians can, at any time:
- Request that their child be removed from the fundraiser roster (the page disappears within 24 hours).
- Request a copy of what's on file for their child.
- Request correction of any field.
Email info@millersjumptime.com with the school name and the student's first name + last initial. We respond within 2 business days.
No sale, no targeted ads, no AI training
We do not sell student data, share it with advertisers, use it to build behavioral profiles, or feed it to third-party AI training systems. Period.
Signed Data Agreement
Districts that require a written agreement before sharing roster data can use our ready-to-sign Data Agreement (DPA).
